Familiar Wonders is a collection of photographs grounded in finding the transient and unusual amongst the familiar environment of my hometown. The series begins with representations of untamed, natural phenomena before morphing into photographs that depict the human presence in this suburban environment.

This topology of the suburban landscape is explored through black and white images that convey the stark contrasts between the geometric shapes of houses  and the natural forms that surround them. These are combined with a series of photos that adopt a closer eye, focusing on small wonders I discovered as I walked familiar routes.
